The John Locke Writing Competition is a prestigious international contest aimed at encouraging young students to engage critically with philosophical, political, and social issues.

Named after the famous 17th-century English philosopher, John Locke, the competition invites participants to explore topics in fields such as economics, law, politics, history, philosophy, theology, and psychology.

Select one topic from the fields of economics, law, politics, history, philosophy, theology, psychology, or junior categories, and write an essay of no more than 2000 words (excluding charts, tables, footnotes, bibliography, or author statements) for submission.
