Canada has become a very multicultural in the recent years but still remains to have two official languages, English and French.
Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world, second only to Chinese, and one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Learning Spanish not only allows children to master one more language and learn more about a culture, but it also broadens their future employment opportunities.

Big Ideas from the BC Curriculum
- Expressing ourselves and engaging in conversation in French involves courage, risk-taking, and perseverance
- Improving communication skills in a language helps us define ourselves and affirm our ideas
- Intensive training in French reading and writing to improve students' interest and overall ability in reading and writing
- Grasp Common, high-frequency vocabularies and sentence structures for communication in past, present and future tense
- Be able to use appropriate pronouns as direct and indirect object complements
- Most students would achieve to A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 levels

This class will be a mix of Core French 3 to 5 and French Immersion 3 to 5.
- Use various strategies to support communication and writing
- Exchange ideas and information using complete sentences, both orally and in writing
- Write simple sentences using words that follow spelling patterns and conventions of syntax
- Deconstruct a sentence into word groups to enhance comprehension
French (Intermediate)
Beginner-Intermediate Lessons
This class will be a mix of Core French 6 to 7 and French Immersion 6 to 7
- Use various strategies to support communication and writing
- Exchange ideas and information using complete sentences, both orally and in writing
- Write simple sentences using words that follow spelling patterns and conventions of syntax
- Deconstruct a sentence into word groups to enhance comprehension
French (Advanced)
French Lessons
For G8 - G12
Intermediate-Advanced French Lessons
This class will be a mix of Core French 8 to 12 and French Immersion 8 to 9.
- Prepare and present arguments and counter-arguments in French to justify one’s own viewpoint and to understand the viewpoints of others
- Organize ideas logically and fluently in order to write coherent texts in French that follow a specific structure
- Understand the value of tenses in order to use them appropriately in communication
